The Madcap Company sells apparel and stuff, but there’s a lot more to us.
First thing right off the bat, we're not a business. Businesses typically do one thing: sell a product. We’re a company, and while making money is obviously important for keeping us around, there's a ton of cool stuff to do outside of selling products that can make a company more interesting.
Stuff like creating interactive experiences inside and outside of the company, getting involved in communities, collaborating with other creatives, and offering a hand to those who are next up.
We don’t take ourselves too seriously, though, and neither do our products. Why? Because if you live life too seriously, then you miss out on the spicy good stuff that makes life worth being serious for.
The same goes for what you wear.
We make sure every one of our designs has something that makes it unique, but not in an abstract, you-only-get-what-this-is-saying-if-you-think-really-hard-about-it way. More like, we take familiar concepts and ideas and put a creative outside-the-box spin on them. Our designs have just enough of a twist to make them interesting but enough personal touch to keep them down to earth. Our shirts won’t yell at the person looking at you or make you seem too cool for school, they’re an invitation to a chuckle, a smirk, or a high five that you'll definitely have to redo.
Here’s the other thing…
Our garments are comfortable as heck. Every member of our Madcap team is an officially verified garment expert. How, you ask? Because we all wear stuff and we know what makes a good piece of clothing. Just like you.
A lot of the time it doesn’t matter what the design is, if a shirt has that feel that just makes you want to wear it all the time, then you will. If you spend your money on a cool shirt and then stash it on that one shelf with everything else you might wear sometime later, what’s the point. We want you to wear our stuff because it’s your coolest comfy-est whatever-it-is in your collection. Wear it to school or to bed, to work or to a party, wear it while you’re shopping for other stuff to wear, wear it around a bonfire or on the beach.
They’re gosh darn versatile.
To further this point, we also use water-based inks in most of our garments. This means the colors essentially dye right into the fabric so you won’t feel the print when you wear them, no matter how big the design is. The ink also doesn’t crack or chip, it’ll stay soft through the life of the shirt. Yeah, so just try stashing it on that one shelf, we don’t think it’ll stay there long.
That’s about it.
